In the spirit of brotherhood and uniting the Muslim community, CARE, Compassionate And Respectful Ending Services was launched January 2019 to provide a membership based group to fund Islamic funerals.
The Prophet ﷺ strongly encouraged brotherhood amongst the Muslims as Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“A Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, he neither wrongs him nor does hand him over to one who does him wrong. If anyone fulfils his brother’s needs, Allah will fulfil his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection…

The Islamic funeral fund membership is open to all Muslim families in the Greater Toronto Area. Memberships are required to pay a one-time registration, which includes services for dependant family members residing at the same address.
The Prophet ﷺ also encouraged us to frequently remember our upcoming death as Abu Hurayra (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
“Remember frequently the thing that cuts off pleasures,” i.e. death.”

Members will be provided funeral service expense, CAD$6,000, anywhere in Canada or the United States of America to the member’s family under this community benefits program. Members have to fill a beneficiary designation form to indicate to whom the money will be provided in case of a death.
