Losing a loved one is a deeply challenging experience. Muslim CARE is a non-profit, membership-based organization dedicated to easing the financial burden of funeral expenses during times of grief.
We provide a fixed financial contribution to the family of a deceased member to assist with funeral expenses.
Driven by Islamic values of compassion and unity, our mission is to ease the burden faced by our members during difficult times. We operate as a non-profit, membership-based organization, funded by member contributions.
Muslim CARE is rooted in the Islamic values of compassion and mutual support. We believe in standing together during times of hardship, offering both financial assistance and the strength of community. Inspired by the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, we strive to ease the burden of bereavement for Muslim families in Ontario.
How Muslim CARE Works

- Community Support & Collective Contribution: When a member passes away, all active members are notified and each active member contributes a small amount of $15 CAD via direct debit.
- Financial Assistance: Muslim CARE provides a fixed amount of $6,000 CAD to the deceased member’s family to help with funeral expenses.
Islam emphasizes the importance of solidarity and mutual aid among believers. The Qur’an states:
“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.”
Qur’an 5:2
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Allah is ever helpful to the servant as long as the servant is helpful to his brother.”
Muslim
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also emphasized the importance of easing the suffering of others:
“A Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, he neither wrongs him nor does hand him over to one who does him wrong. If anyone fulfils his brother’s needs, Allah will fulfil his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection…“
Bukhari and Muslim
“Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship in this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever makes easy one who is in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever conceals [the faults of] a Muslim, Allah will conceal [his faults] in this world and the Hereafter. Allah will aid a servant so long as he aids his brother.”
